The Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium is defined as a multipurpose performing arts center, hosting anything from plays and performances to speeches and other special events. The construction process began in 1957 when then ASU President Grady Gammage spoke aloud his desire for a unique auditorium for his campus. He reached out to a friend, famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, to rebuild the old collapsed gymnasium/auditorium on campus into something beautiful and functional. However, when both Wright and Gammage died in 1959, Wrights's protege William Wesley Peters was tasked with completing the auditorium. With nearly three years of construction, Gammage Auditorium opened on September 18, 1964, and hosted its first Broadway production (Camelot)! Gammage has continued to be an iconic structure throughout the Valley, holding Broadway productions and performances of all types from the School of Music students.

The Sun Devil Marching Band, also known as "The Pride of the Southwest," began under Lillian Williams in 1915, when she founded and funded the new Tempe Bulldogs Marching Band. After a short disbandment during WWI, so our band members could take part in defending our country, our band came back stronger than ever, now having close to 400 members in the 21st century. The SDMB has appeared in numerous bowl games and competitions throughout the last century, even taking part in supporting our teams in men's and women's basketball, volleyball, and hockey games at Arizona State University. The SDMB is also the first PAC-10 school in history to be awarded the Sudler Trophy, a recognition of elevated musical standards, innovative marching techniques, and high national respect. Brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi, as well as Membership Candidates of our ASU Chapter, have the opportunity to hike A Mountain (an ASU landmark) once a year during our recruitment season with an SDMB veteran so we may better understand our origins as a musical community!

Our purpose is to serve the college bands of Arizona State University. That means we offer strong and unwavering support for the Maroon and Gold Band, Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, and Sun Devil Marching Band. This support also extends to organizations that these bands work with, when applicable.
Anyone who shares our values (Musicianship, Leadership, Service, and Brotherhood) is welcome to interview to join our fraternity. During recruitment week in the fall semester at ASU, you can find our fraternity brothers wearing our letters (KKY) outside the School of Music. You can ask each of us directly to learn more!
We organize a variety of activities throughout the year, mostly including the Sun Devil Marching Band and the ASU School of Music. We organize activities to help bring music students together such as concerts in the music courtyard, kickbacks with the School of Music, and activities like Cookouts and Trunk-or-Treating with the SDMB.
